Well known local chefs and members of the local food industry, such as Philip Oakes and his team of trainee Chefs from Cornwall College; Sanjay Kumar; Hannah Croft from Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen’ restaurant and Robin Turner, a Newlyn fish merchant, will be preparing dishes from the produce on display by the food exhibitors. Using only the finest of local produce these chefs will show that Cornish is best when coming to culinary inspiration for your spring kitchen table.

Throughout the Fair you will find a variety of home-made refreshments including cakes, crepes, soups, and local meat pasties, plus locally made ice-cream and fruit juice squeezed as you watch to tempt your taste buds. Remember to bring your picnic blanket, or if you prefer, take a seat inTrereife’s Cafe. And should the weather prove temperamental, rest assured that the event will be undercover.

Should you fancy a diversion from the craft buying and nibbles, Tim Le Grice will be conducting tours of his historic home, allowing visitors to absorb Trereife’s extensive history which dates back to the original dwelling of 1201.

For the kids, traditional fairground attractions will ensure there’s plenty to occupy younger visitors as well as a traditional Easter Egg Hunt. Complete with a horse drawn carriage ride taking you from the car park along the tree lined drive right up to the House, this event is set to be a joy for the senses for both the young and the young at heart.
