Newlyn School of Art (5 mins)
Based in the famous artists’ colony of Newlyn in West Cornwall and provides inspiring art courses in painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery and printmaking taught by many of the best known artists working in Cornwall today.

St Michael’s Mount (10 mins)
Still home to the St Aubyn family as well as a small community, this iconic rocky island is crowned by a medieval church and castle - with the oldest buildings dating from the 12th century.Immerse yourself in history, wonder at the architecture and discover the legend of Jack the Giant Killer. Land’s End (20 mins)
Land’s End is a headland and holiday complex in western Cornwall, England. It is the most westerly point of mainland Cornwall and England, is within the Penwith peninsula and is about eight miles (13 km) west-southwest ofPenzance at the starting and finishing point of the A30 road.[2] Land’s End has a particular resonance because it is often used to suggest distance. Land’s End to John o’ Groats in Scotland is a distance of 838 miles (1,349 km) by road and this Land’s End to John o’ Groats distance is often used to define charitable events such as end-to-end walks and races in the UK.
The Isles of Scilly (Ferry of Flight)
To get there - take the Scillonian ferry from Penzance and park (for a small fee) at Trereife, then simply take a taxi into the ferry at Penzance (approx 10 mins from the house). Click here for ferry details. Or fly from Land’s End airport on the sky bus.
