Colin Freebury
Although Colin Freebury applies paint with real energy his oils take many weeks to complete.
He gives himself to the act of painting at every stage. He responds to the impact of what he is making. He gives it time. These are generous gestural abstracts, which glow with a slow fire.
His titles convey that his inspiration is the landscape through which he passes, though it would not be rewarding to attempt to decode them.
This is many layered choral eye music in which colours sing with clear voices.
