Tea Poet Tour - ‘Dong Ding! Let the Kettle Sing’

October 17, 2011
7:30 pmto9:30 pm

Starts: 7.30 pm

Britain’s Tea Poet, Elizabeth Darcy Jones, serves up an enchanting pot of ‘poetea’ from her book ‘Distinguished Leaves’ in which teas turn into characters through lively verse. Her first one woman show is punctuated by anecdote and tea lore, along with three musical numbers by Cornwall’s ‘Captain Teacake’ Robin Jones - including his dreamy ‘Love Tea Lullaby’. Your ticket also entitles you to a taste of the Dong Ding Oolong tea that prompted the show’s title in the interval.

Who wouldn’t want to meet Miss Pouchong, Jasmine Pearls and the lazy monk, Lapsang? Or discover which teas were inspired by Nigel Havers and Mr Darcy? Suitable for all bar the coffee junkie.

The performance will be taking place in Trereife’s Courtyard Cafe. Don’t miss out- book your tickets now! Either contact us or ring 01736 362750. Link to the tea poet’s site for more info: Tickets: £5
